3.5 stars really...

This was fun, I've seen the movies and actually read part of this before but hadn't finished it. I'm thinking it gets better as the series goes on? My husband and his mom are obsessed, so I thought I should get on the bandwagon.

It's definitely such a fun story and after hearing all the hype about the other books in the series I'm looking forward to reading them all!

Bedtime read-aloud to my 6 year old. First time read for both of us, and it was as charming as advertised.

FLASHBACK: 1999, freshman year of college. Babysitting for a professor, I bundle the kid quickly into bed because I’ve seen they have this, and I manage to read about 3/4ths of it before the parents get home. It’s pretty darn great.

Of course I've read this book before, and of course I'm reading it again because of Deathly Hallows coming out this month.

I truely should have started this book sometime before now, but I read fast anyhow.

This book is a great intoduction to the Wizarding world, and to the Boy Who Lived.

I had forgotten how fun this book was, and how innocent the world seemed.

Just finished rereading this in my project to read all HP1-HP6 before starting on #7, the Deathly Hallows. Still lots of fun. Doesn't seem very complicated, and when people start collecting clues to try to figure out how it's going to end, I don't think they start in this book. But it's still very enjoyable. I wish I were better at reading dialogue in my head with a British accent! ...more
