The bigotry was harrowing but authentic; I persisted in trying this book multiple times due to the premise. I liked the novel within a novel format and that Dick used I Ching too, like many of the characters in his book.

I really wanted to read this book before I watched the show on Amazon Prime. It's an interesting idea of what could have happened if Germany and Japan had been successful in World War II. I think it's particularly interesting when you realize that, each day, each of us makes small, seemingly inconsequential, decisions that have the possibility to change our entire lives. ...more
