I'm sorry but this is one of those "thank God that's over" books I've had to read with the kids for school. I really did want to look forward to this - but the ever changing points of view of TOO MANY characters made this confusing and hard to follow sometimes. And it wasn't just me saying that!
The thing is, the ending comes through with so much excitement, that I wound up liking it a little. But then the author went and spoiled the whole thing by letting the story go on way too long. For once ...more

In this classic mystery novel, a group of people are brought together and told that one of them has committed a murder. Whoever solves the mystery will inherit the entire estate of the deceased. They are each assigned a seemingly unlikely partner and given a set of incomplete clues. As each team tries to solve the murder, unexpected alliances are made.

Fun! I had the solvable part solved early, but there were still more pieces to fit into place, and this puzzle of a book was just lots of fun from start to finish.
There are a few dated terms (mongoloid, retarded) that might necessitate a quick disclaimer for younger readers before setting them loose with this one.
