Amazing! The details Hillenbrand is able to capture about not only Zamperini's life but so many others connected makes this book a wealth of knowledge. Having read this book, I feel like I truly understand for the first time what WWII was like in the Pacific arena, how horrific Japanese POW camps were, but most important, how resilient the human spirit truly can be!
