What Members Thought
"Post After Post-Mortem" is the eleventh investigation featuring Robert MacDonald. This time, the daughter in a family of writers, has overdosed, seemingly by her own hand. A letter received by her brother after her death casts some doubt on this, and the CID are called in to investigate.

Much in agreement with Inspector Macdonald who labeled this case as a “glorious muddle.”
It begins with the suicide of a successful author which is too convincing and Macdonald is pulled into the case who deems the suicide a carefully planned murder that becomes more and more convoluted as he investigates.
Macdonald was certainly put through his paces in this case and so were readers with Lorac providing the reveal in the last couple of pages.

Note: I accessed a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through Edelweiss.
Another intriguing puzzle! Enjoyed.
As expected, MacDonald (the Scotland Yard detective) is competent, considerate and determined to find the correct solution. I thought this book was a bit drawn out, with a couple of side characters who didn't add much, but Lorac remains a favorite 'golden age' mystery author.
