What Members Thought

This is the second in the Shetland series, featuring Jimmy Perez. Perez is accompanying Fran (who we met in the first book and who he is now romantically involved with) to an art exhibition. Had the pleasure of reading this book while travelling in Shetland. Great characters, a really solid mystery which takes full advantage of the isolated and at times harsh, at times beautiful setting, and what feels like the start of an interesting set of relationships potentially developing as the series progresses. I look forward to reading more in this series (and perhaps visiting Shetland again some day).

Far superior to the first in the series. Engaging mystery and interesting characters. Looking forward to reading the next.

Again place takes center stage. If you read these and don't want to v ...more
