What Members Thought
I did like this story, but maybe not as much as some that went before. Most of the characters were well defined, and their actions were in character. Most of the past books were the acceptance of the way the monks and local community lived, but this did raise the question of religion, which is always a sore point.

Another visit with Cadfael. This time we have a religious disagreement along with murder. The religious dogma strikes a sour note today as we haven't seemed to progress. However, Cadfael persists in his pursuit of truth and his herb garden remains a place of calm.
