I wonder if this mystery was originally serialised in a magazine.
If anyone knows, please put it in my comments.
This novel had such a great beginning, but really lost its way when the story shifted to (view spoiler) The "Seven Dead" seemed to be forgotten about & a lot of the text seemed to be filler.
There was a good, if highly improbable, ending & Farjeon has shown enough writing ability that I want to try another of his mysteries, but frankly I'm starting to underst ...more
