Even better than the first in the series, with an intriguing idea.

I only heard of this authoress last week when I read a review of her latest (20+) in a whodunnit series with DI Sloan and his Watson-like sidekick, Det. Sergeant Crosby. How did I miss her?
This is the second book, from 1968. Added another start on my second read. I love Aird's characters, and the plot is unusual yet believable.
