I appreciate this series for many reasons among them the originality and uniqueness of the main character, Flavia.

Bam! Cliffhanger.
This was the first book in the whole series where I felt that Flavia's sisters were slowly growing up and were not as mean as in the earlier works.
I think that Dogger is the best secondary character here. I really enjoy him interacting with everyone, especially with Flavia though.
Flavia is as sassy and clever as ever, enamored with poisons and death.
AB brought in a new character with the name Adam and I am as curious as Flavia for (view spoiler) ...more
