Another excellent instalment in the series as Bobby Owen is seconded to determine whether a cousin's death should be treated as murder. It does not take long for Bobby to find more examples where men had died under strange circumstances in their baths and so the chase is on. Well-written and a fiendish plot, highly recommend this series. ...more

A good look at the maturing Bobby Owen and an interesting story (inspired by a real case) but not terribly well plotted (imo).

This episode in the Bobby Owen's series did have a more complex plot. Bobby, coming from an upper class family, is seconded by the powers that be, to to investigate the death of one of his family. This death having happened three years previously. (What we now call a "cold-case") Obviously, this makes it very difficult for Bobby all round. His colleagues in the police force resent his status of class and education, but he manages to stand up for himself, and is out to show he is capable of this ...more

A cunning and diabolical mystery. It involved members of Owen's family so we get a to know more about his background. Very enjoyable. ...more
