My rating is three stars, but I'd like to give it a little more. 3-1/2 would be more like it, I think.
I am torn because -- like all books -- there are pros and cons.
I suspect I go into these stories with my expectations set too high. I am hoping for the thrill and the laughter of the first book, which was so fresh and so much fun. This one was better than the 2nd but still not as much fun as the first. Frankly, there did not seem to be very much of Flavia as a girl in it. Most of what she says ...more

I rounded up from 2½ stars based on the slight twist at the end and Jayne Entwistle's narration. I think I will stop here with this series as I haven't warmed up to the main character Flavia, nor anyone else in her family. ...more
