4.5 stars Dalgliesh just keeps getting better and better as I go along. This was a complex (as usual in this series) murder and a great museum setting, albeit a fictional one. I had partially solved the mystery but there are so many turns and angles that it's a delight to keep reading! I also enjoyed more of the personal development of Adam-finally!

The setting is the Dupayne Museum, a museum specializing in the period between World War I and World War II (the interwar years of about 1919-1939). In this museum, is also the "Murder Room" with displays about several famous murders from the interwar years. The museum's lease is up for renewal and the deceased elder Dupayne has left an equally eccentric will regarding his museum that requires that all his children must agree to this renewal or close the museum.
