Very enjoyable golden age mystery set at a London solicitor’s office.

A very well-respected partner in the firm has died, and his son has taken his place in the firm. I would have enjoyed this even more if I had any sort of understanding of the British legal system or mortgages... particularly as they worked in the 1950's. ...more

Liked the mystery, the setting, and the office banter. Although the numerous characters were not easily distinguishable - but that might have just been me not giving my full attention. I feel that it might improve upon a re-read.

Very satisfying 1950s mystery set in a law office. Great sense of place and feel for the characters. Will search out more from this author.
