This didn't quite work. Got going well, but then took rather a long time to get to the point where Adam solved the murders through purely intuition, and maybe a bit of a guess. It was not actually his case either, he was on holiday at his Aunt's Cottage on the Suffolk Coast, when the noted local "Detective Thriller" author was found dead, in a boat, his hands having been cut off. I did think the plot of this book was good, and it did keep me guessing almost to the end, but to be honest, I did get tired of the lovey writers and found my mind wandering. The setting was described very well, it was such a shame it was inhabited by such a lot of horrid people. The ending was well done and I could feel the urgency of the situation. So maybe this should be a 3.5 stars
