Adam Dagliesh tries, unsuccessfully, to take a break from investigations and visit his aunt. However, the neighbors have other ideas and Dagliesh finds himself drawn into an investigation reluctantly. Well plotted and paced, another good entry in the Adam Dagliesh series.

I did think the plot of this book was good, and it did keep me guessing almost to the end, but to be honest, I did get tired of the lovey writers and found my mind wandering. The setting was described very well, it was such a shame it was inhabited by such a lot of horrid people. The ending was well done and I could feel the urgency of the situation. So maybe this should be a 3.5 stars
