This was a tense and gripping read and a very different Campion book to the previous ones. I'm glad that I'm reading this series in order as I appreciate the development of the characters more.

This was such a riveting, emotional thriller!!! Seeing Campion vulnerable and introspective while trying to 'save Britain' was astutely done. And since Amanda's introduction, it is such a treat to have her in any Campion story.

Campion's memory loss added a new level of tension; usually the hero knows something of what is happening. His relationship with Amanda is a wonderful addition and Lugg had a meaty role.
