Carol She's So Novel꧁꧂
Very slow moving & with very dated racial attitudes. I only gave it 2 stars because the twist at the end genuinely surprised me.

This was my first taste of Tey and it greatly impressed me--especially because it's not a traditional mystery, and that's what I thought I had set out to read. The fact it kept my interest and that it became a page-turner for me, when there was no immediate and apparent crime, says a lot for Miss Tey's skills.
