When a group of worth locals decide to put on some amateur theatricals, in order to raise money for a new piano, it inflames local passions, jealousies and insecurities. Ngaio Marsh is great company. This mystery was full of humor, clever deductions and above all a sympathetic yet incisive eye illuminating human foibles and triumphs.

A truly horrible stereotyped portrayal of single menopausal women. Hated it.

Fantastic mode of murder, very entertaining but somewhat unbelievable. Good story with some very strange characters.
