A well crafted and gripping read
Like many readers of this book and subsequent volumes, I first encountered Poldark on the small screen, initially as a child in the 1970s, and more recently during the BBC’s latest adaptation of the Poldark novels. I'm completely and utterly engrossed in this saga. I don't want it to end :( I feel like I personally know these characters!
Ross Poldark has made my FAVOURITE'S LIST!! 5/5 STARS. The book was as good as the show!
I just love this story that Winston Graham has created. I love the characters and love learning about the historical culture of Cornwall in the 18th century.

I have never been so possessed by an author before. I confess. I have read this book three times. I know, I sound crazy. I have enjoyed every reading and found something I missed before. That may be because I read at bedtime :). After reading the entire series twice, I just couldn't put it away. Graham's writing is soothing and moving at the same time. You get to know many characters, not just one or two. You get to observe and contemplate so many human traits in these characters. My favorites a
