I have found that this is the rule and not the exception when it comes to all of Simone St. James' books. The story combines some very creepy elements into a past/present mystery. When you add in a haunted location with a sad, but creepy ghost... a murder mystery from both the past and present...you have [The Broken Girls] . It's story that will grab you and keep you reading and wanting more at the end.
