As he connects the mysteries of the past to those of the present, Rebus learns that he's not the only one with an insatiable curiosity about what happened in that hotel room forty years ago, and that someone will stop at nothing to ensure that the crime remains ancient history. Another visit with one of my favorite characters in one of my favorite cites...Edinburgh. Our Rebus is getting old and starting to slow down and take heath issues more seriously. One of the things that he also takes seriously is unsolved murders...especially those that he was connected with years ago but was taken off of before he could solve them. Some reviewers described Rebus as "the old war horse"...that may be truer than we think but it's good to see that he's not quite ready to hang up his saddle and be put out to pasture. Looking forward to more of Rebus.
