AMAZING!! My life will never be the same! This book changed my life! I've never read such a good book in my life! I really felt for the charecters. They have such depth. I can connect so many things I see and hear to this series. It just doesn't stop! I was sobbing through out some parts of the book! I love all the charecters in the

There was a quote in this book that describes my emotions perfectly. It was about how in every meeting there is the bitterness of parting, and in every parting there is the sweetness of meeting. That is how I felt about this book. I knew when I picked up Clockwork Angel that it would all end eventually, even though at the time I had no earthly idea how much I'd grow to love the series. And I knew when I picked up Clockwork Princess that this was the end, the last time I'd see these characters ou There was a quote in this book that describes my emotions perfectly. I knew when I picked up Clockwork Angel that it would all end eventually, even though at the time I had no earthly idea how much I'd grow to love the series. And I knew when I picked up Clockwork Princess that this was the end, the last time I'd see these characters outside of rereads, the last time I could live in the pages and have my heart beat in sync with theirs. But yet, there was also the sweetness of hello in this book. I fell in love even more deeply, and I laughed even more sweetly, and the tears I shed were more crystalline and beautiful than tears have any right to be. When I turned the last page and closed the book, there was not just the bitterness of parting, but that gorgeous sweetness of meeting. I have lived a lifetime with these characters, and in saying goodbye, I felt just as strongly as I did when saying hello.
I have lived a thousand lives through the pages of books, but none of them have touched me in the same way this one has.
This book has heightened my expectations for all other books. I can't even write a comprehensible thought right now, so caught up am I in the leftover emotions. However, I will say this; I am in love. With Jem, with Tessa, with Will. With this gorgeous world Cassie Clare has created for me. Because I feel as if this world was so very mine. I felt as if I were Tessa, as if Will were the boy I loved with all my soul, because he was just like me, as if Jem were the boy I loved with all my heart, for his heart was better than mine would ever be. I loved this story, I loved this world. And I think this book has reminded me why I read. I read to experience things I never would otherwise, to find parts of me that I didn't know existed, to experience emotions more intense than anything I've ever felt before, and to love people who will never hurt me. Most of all, I read so I can learn to see. Words are what move me, what touch me, but they are also how I see. When something is put into gorgeous words for me, then I can come to understand it, and apply it to the world. I read so my eyes are opened, and this tale of unbreakable love certainly opened my eyes.
And were my eyes ever opened. I learned more about myself while reading this than I'd ever known before. I saw a reflection of my mind in Tessa, a reflection of my heart in Jem, and a reflection of my soul in Will. And that is what a good book does, I believe. It connects you irrevocably to people you don't know, to people who don't exist, by taking a part of your very soul and using it to breathe these characters to life. In this way, writing is its own form of magic, and is a skill only a few posses. Only once before in my life have I felt so at home in a book, so attached to its characters, and that was when reading the epitome of wonder, Harry Potter. However, this book and its magnificently human characters, its gritty yet beautiful setting, made me experience things that even Rowling didn't evoke in me. It awoke a part of me, and that is a part that will never go back to sleep.
This tale was so poignantly beautiful, so heart-wrenchingly, achingly, perfectly beautiful, that I don't think my view of literature will ever be the same. I can guarantee that I will be reading this series again, falling in love again, breaking my heart again. This series drew me to it like a moth to flame; you knownothing good will come if it, that it will only result in pain and heartbreak, but it is just so very beautiful, captivating in its danger. And even though it hurt, even though it burned and sobbed and crushed a part of me, it also gave me wings and healedsomething in me that had been very, very broken.
Such an extraordinary tale.
In the end, all I can say through my tears is this: Thank you, Cassandra Clare, for changing my life with your magnificent books. And thank you, God, for giving her this gift of words.
I only had one qualm. The epilogue. Yes, I understand the point of it, and I appreciated it for what it was. But it ruined one of the things I hold most sacred about books. In books, there is no real end. Sure, the pages run out, the words stop flowing, but the characters, the characters never die. They live on in the reader's imagination, preserved exactly as they were in the story, the way that people had come to love them. And they live forever, a different sort of immortality. However, when an author takes the liberty of explaining the rest of the character's life, right up to the moment they die of old age, it ruins some of that magic. Because the character is officially dead, and cannot be resurrected. I understand why Ms. Clare had to do it, and I will let it slide, but it still broke my heart. Only, for a very different reason than the rest of the book.
On a random, personal note, I shall be awaiting the arrival of my Will Herondale. And my friends wonder why I've never had a boyfriend. Clearly, they don't understand how some books just raise my expectations. But when the day comes when some boy is willing to quote Dickens and read the books I love, then he will have the map of my soul. Not to mention the key to my heart.

I have absolutely fallen in love with this series. I hate that the story is now over, since this was a trilogy. In Clockwork Princess, you get to see more of the shadowhunter families that are main characters in The Immortal Instrument series. I hate to add any spoiler alerts, so all I will say it was perfectly written. At time you just feel torn between Jem and Will, who will Tessa chose..? I loved this, mainly.

It took a while to get really humming , but the ending was fantastic. Claire brings out the biggest gun in her arsenal (trying to prevent a spoiler) and it doesn't disappoint, for the big showdown, then there's a rambling kind of epilogue, which is nice, because it wraps up loose ends nicely.
recommended. I think I'd rather they made these into films, than the mortal instruments, but hey, I'm not gonna complain on my way to the movies... ...more

This book is wonderful. I loved every part of it. And the ending was more than I expected. I adore Tessa, Will, Jem, Charlotte, Sophie, Cecily, Gabriel, Gideon and Henry so much! I will never forget this amazing series: The Infernal Devices. The love in this book is a great example and very touching. It deserves all the stars in the world :)
