What Members Thought
It's really hard to judge this one on it's own, since I've read all three books. I loved the first book, the style, the idea, and Catniss. She's ballsy but doesn't want to be the big hero. She's smart enough to play games with the audience, but kind of naive enough not to realise what she's doing to Peeta.

I debated a bit about that last star, but there was so much that I really loved about this book - it totally took me by surprise. All of the hype around this series had me a bit wary. Dystopian novels aren't always my cup of tea, but Katniss was enthralling. I enjoyed the interplay between the characters, and the combination of strategy, resourcefulness, and luck that contributed to the realistic feel of the story.
