What Members Thought
I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was very atmospheric and from the start. The characters were varied, with distinctive voices and interesting back-stories. The author managed to weave in contemporary New York history, legends, and mythology, giving an authentic feel of the roaring twenties. The main plot itself was creepy and interesting enough to keep me hooked even though it took a long time to unfold.

While I give the story points for originality and detail, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The split storytelling system used felt more like a TV script than a novel, and it seemed like the author couldn't quite decide whether this story had one protagonist or several.
