The boy in the striped pajamas is about a boy named Bruno that loves exploration. One day, he has to move to a unfriendly place where there is no one to play with.He does some exploration along the fence that separate them from the prisoners and he finds a boy. They have the same age as him and the same birth date.Bruno and Shmuel meet every afternoon. Everything is OK until the day Bruno makes the bad decision to go under the fence... You should really read this book.It is great.

Wow, This was a great book! A great example of what it would be like for a boy in Bruno's position. Every moment I could picture what the sorroundings are and/or what they look like or do. I couldn't believe that in effect of curiousity and being very naive to what is around him. He chose to do once again the mission of exploration , except this time it's more dangerous than usual. This book took place during World War Two Bruno's father was the commandant and was harming the Jewish people almos ...more

I think this was a very good representation of the holocaust, the author did it through the eyes of a
naive child who had no idea what was going on because this would take offense to people who participated in the war or who are Jewish, so the entire plot is about a boy named Bruno who moved to a camp that he thinks is called out with, then he meets a boy on the other side of the fence, they become friends and eventually they almost move to Berlin again, but Bruno decides to go on the other side

Shelves: hi
I gave this book a proficient because of how it is based around a kid and his perspective so this is a perfect view your child's eyes or a child's ,but it also gives valuable information for adults and older kids who don't really know mush about what happened in the war or forgot what happened.
It was not exemplary because it missed some key information they could of added when they were writing the book and there is always room for improvement that's what I always say at least.

The boy in the striped pajamas is about a naive boy named Bruno who was transported to Auschwitz because the Fuhrer told Bruno's father he would be a Commandant at Auschwitz. When Bruno and his family get to Auschwitz Bruno meets a boy named Shmeul on the other of the fence next to there house. Shmuel and Bruno end up becoming friends.

I really liked the book because of all the mysteries in the book you try to solve makes it a very interesting book to read. The detail is incredible you just have

Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a great book, in my opinion. It explains how a young, naive boy moves from his house in Germany to a consentraition camp,in poland. Bruno, the young boy, has to find a way to keep himself entertained. He find a boy on the other side of a fence. For a year Bruno talks to him in secret, and the writter compares their lives in a suttle way. They become great friends by the end of the novel. The writter does a great job of explaining the horros of the Holocaust, without ...more

This book is about Bruno a German boy who moves to Auschwitz and meets Shmuel which is a Jew who becomes Bruno's friend but then bruno goes to the other side of the side of the fence and disappeared. I thought this book was not bad but the ending is sad also I suggest Jewish people should not read this book for it might Afend them. I also think that this book could have less cliff hangers.
Example when Pavel disappears and is not mentioned anymore, then shmuels says that his papa has disappeared

Boy in the striped pajamas is a good book about a young naive boy during world war two. This boy moves and starts to talk to a boy at the concentration camp, they become good friends but there is a devastating ending. I really liked this book because it helped me really understand the war and all the cruel things the Nazi did.The book really made me want to keep reading each time i ended a chapter.Towards the end of the book i was a little disappointed, i wish the author would keep going.

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas is a book about a boy named Bruno who meets a boy at a camp on the other side of the fence and goes under the fence and tries to help a boy named Shmuel find his Papa and goes in a concentration camp at Auschwitz and dies in a gas chamber.

I thought this was a good book but was a little sad because Bruno was so kind and nice and tried to help Shmuel find his Papa but they didn't and in the camp they go in a gas chamber and die both Bruno and Shmuel.

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas was a great emotional novel, in my opinion.
Bruno a 9 year old boy comes home from school one day in 1943, to find he's moving to Poland for his father's job. After months he goes exploring and finds a boy, same age and same birthday. They find many differences and similarities. The book explains how from a naive boys point of view, how scary the Haulocost may have been for many many people.

The book is about a naive German child named Bruno who has to move to a new house with a large fence by it called auschwitz and there is a large fence by said house.

The book is boring at first but gets a lot more captivating near the end. Personally I thought that this book was quite the good read and if you want something that could potentially tug at your heartstrings this is recommended

I thought this book was hard to put down. It was slowly building up and putting more suspense in your mind. It was educational about information on the Holocaust, and is in the perspective of a 9 year-old naive boy named Bruno who is oblivious to what is really going on in WWII. Bruno moves from a large house in Berlin to a small, rickety house far, far away. He meets a friend there who is hard to play with, and he deals with mean soldiers, annoying big sisters, busy and serious Fathers, and a c ...more

I Would Suggest This Book To Someone Who Likes A Great Storyline With Lots Of Climbing Than A Drop, This Story Is About A Naive Confused Little Boy With A Curious Mind, Who Moves Away To A New Place With Lots Of New Surroundings, As Well It Takes Place In The 1940's.
I Thought Is Was Very Well Spoken, Though The Mind Of A Young Boy With No Idea What Is Going On, And It Also Gave Another Very Good Perspective Of The Holocaust With A Surprise.
