When I dove into A Song of Ice and Fire, I was immediately enthralled by
Game of Thrones
. I tore through the pages like a fiend, devouring the characters and fretting over their fates as they played the game. In the last month I have come to cherish almost every character in the story, even those that might be deemed unsavory.

Wow. These books get better and better the deeper you go. Their is no way of knowing who will live or die and sections of the story make you want too scream in frustration but it is such an engrossing story that you cannot stop reading.
The writing is ponderously slow at times and Martin describes every little thing in an almost crazed detail. But again the story is brilliant and for the most part moves along rather quickly for a novel of this size and scope.

My favorite so far. I did not see any of this coming. It was insane from start to finish. I cannot wait to see this played out on screen and see everyone's reactions. I'm also a fan of the Jaime perspective. Not only does it give us more insight into the past but it also shows us another side of Jaime. Another Lannister to like.
