Refrain is a beautifully written, hot and intense conclusion to what has become one of my favorite series.
Rhys and Kai are still crazy in love, but not out of the woods quite yet. Everything about them is more intense, their connection, their insane chemistry, and the tension around them. I spent most of this book on the edge of my seat with my heart in my throat. Kennedy Ryan takes us on a wild and very unexpected ride filled with scorching hot scenes and jaw dropping suspense.

Can I just gush and fawn and drool over how dirty and delicious Rhyson Gray is in this book?!? Because Oh.My.Lanta. he is! He's always had this understated alphaness to him, but in Refrain we get to see it come through in all its glory...and it is so, so glorious.
But we'll come back to that...because there is so much more to this story than just Rhyson and his extreme and utter sexiness. Refrain gives us a perfect look into the hea of Rhyson and Kai, although not without a few trials and tribula ...more
Oh wow - just when you think a story is complete, the author shows you just how wrong you were!
At the conclusion of Down to My Soul, I was content with where Kai and Rhys were in their relationship. I was happy to let them ride off into the sunset....
With Refrain, Ms. Ryan brings us back into their world for a wild ride full of love, acceptance, and just a little bit of terror.
The drama is completely external in this story, there are never any doubts as to the solidness of the key relationship ...more

What did I think? I loved it! So many feels, so much love in this book. I absolutely love Kennedy's writing, but this puts the icing on the cake for me. I really wondered how the story could keep going, and Kennedy nailed it!! "Perfect love casts out fear" There is no fear in love, that's a hard pill to swallow, easier said than done, but Rys and Kai made it happen.
