Second chance at its finest! This is Stephanie's best work to date and a story jam-packed with relatable, heart-warming emotion. Tackling the subject of moving on after losing the love of your life is not an easy one, but Nick & Ellie's journey to their HEA is something anyone struggling with living after losing should definitely read.

I met Ellie in Only You and have loved her ever since. In After You, I empathized with the loss of her husband, experienced the hurt through her eyes and was in awe of her strength of being a single mom to Jack Jr.

"Is there a time limit on loving someone?"
I'm not sure why I thought listening to the prologue, and the epilogue, while I was driving home from work was a good idea! I cried when I read this book and hearing the words out loud made them even more poignant!

Stephanie Rose knows just how to break my heart into tiny little pieces and carefully stitch it back together. I’ve loved all of her books, but I believe this is her best work yet. The ever present pain of what’s been lost, the new yearning for what could be—I felt Ellie’s struggle and loved every minute of her journey. Nick and Ellie’s story is one that will stay with you long after you’ve finished reading. I highly recommend this beautiful second chance romance!

I loved this book. This was such an emotional and heart-wrenching read. This is the kind of story that will stay with you. A touching story of second chances and learning to love again.

From the first word of the prologue through to the last word of the epilogue I can't tell you how many times I cried while reading After You. And I still can't help tearing up when I think about Ellie, Jack, Nick, and Jack Jr.

Some of the worst hurt came from the greatest love. And a life without love, wasn't a life at all.

Ellie is still coping with the loss of her husband Jack, the love of her life. Is there a Stephanie Rose knows how to pull at my heart strings and get the tears flowing. These are just a few of the questions Ellie is dealing with, and asking herself, through the course of After You. She's mother and father to their son Jack Jr, and she has no time or interest in getting involved with someone new...until a surprise from her past sets out to claim her future.

What a journey Stephanie takes both Ellie and Nick, and the reader, through! The ups and downs of a new relationship can be difficult to navigate at the best of times, but when you're a single parent that adds a whole new dimension to things. While Ellie's not sure if she's willing to put her heart on the line again, Nick has no doubts in his mind that Ellie is the one for him. You will have a hard time not falling for this kind-hearted, sexy, lovable fireman. Nick is so patient and loving with Ellie, and so very sweet with Jack Jr. He's the perfect man to show Ellie that loving him doesn't mean she loved Jack any less.

After You is a sweetly compelling look at love, loss, and learning to let go. It's so genuine and honest. It's a really wonderful second chance love story. Ellie's struggles are so real and so heartbreaking- she loved Jack with her whole being and the thought of loving someone else just tears her up inside. But sometimes life gives us a second chance, even if it's not something we're prepared for or are expecting. When Nick, someone she had a brief but memorable moment with years ago, reenters the picture Ellie has to finally decide if love is once again worth the risk.

I was so glad to see that Ellie was going to get her own story. My heart broke for her after the loss of her husband and I was hoping she would get the chance at her own happy ending. This book made me feel so many things. I laughed, I cried, I swooned over Nick. It was also great to get more from Paige and Evan from Only You. Tears were streaming down my face while reading the epilogue, but in the best way possible. This was the perfect ending for these characters.

I've loved every book in Stephanie's Second Chance series but After You is by far my favorite.

I felt such a deep connection to Ellie from the beginning, loosing her husband and raising their son on her own. I felt her pain and her resolve to forever be alone, she could never love another like she did her husband Jake. She was strong and funny but with her husbands death she lost a bit of herself. Oh my tears! It has been a long time since a book has had me so completely engrossed and captured my heart so completely that it makes it hard for me to move on.

I have to confess that Stephanie is one of my go to authors, so I went into this book expecting to love it and I did.
After You is a well written masterpiece that gently explores what happens when you've had - and lost- the love of your life at a young age.

I didn't think there could be a more perfect couple after Ellie & Jack, I felt Ellie's Heartbreak after Jack died in Only You and I couldn't image her life now that Jack is gone, but I knew she'd do her best for Jack Jr and couldn't wait to read After You.
