Lincoln Landry is sooooo swoony and I love him. #factasfuck

Swing is simply delightful. It's sweet and fun and sexy, with a hero who will seriously leave you in a puddle of goo on the floor because of how sinfuly delicious, utterly charming, and completely endearing he is, and a heroine who you'll wish you were best friends with so you could hang out and eat soup, and then wrap her up in a hug when needed. Of the books in The Landry Family series I have listened to-date, Swing is by far my favorite. I loved Lincoln in Sway, but in Swing, he blew me away. He was sweet and charming and so very caring. He is a baseball star and he knows it. One look at Danielle Ashley and he is smitten. She is smart, sexy and a game-changer. But she wants nothing to do with Lincoln. He is exactly the type of man she avoids at all cost.

Ahhh Lincoln Landry, what a hot and sexy ball player that will make you drool. Too bad his ego is bigger than his head. But, it seems Danielle Ashley is the one who he will break all his rules for.

In book one, Sway, we met Lincoln who saved the day for his brother Barrett. Barrett, knowing nothing about baseball, needed Lincoln to entertain Huxley, the son of Alison, who he was trying to date and spend more time with. I immediately loved Lincoln in that book because he took Huxley under his win Ahhh Lincoln Landry, what a hot and sexy ball player that will make you drool. Too bad his ego is bigger than his head. But, it seems Danielle Ashley is the one who he will break all his rules for.

In book one, Sway, we met Lincoln who saved the day for his brother Barrett. Barrett, knowing nothing about baseball, needed Lincoln to entertain Huxley, the son of Alison, who he was trying to date and spend more time with. I immediately loved Lincoln in that book because he took Huxley under his wing and treated him like a friend and not a child.

In the first book, it ended with Lincoln not knowing his future in sports due to an injury, and this book picks up right after that. He finds out his fate, and with the help of therapy, he hopes to be back in the game.

I felt so bad for Lincoln because you could tell playing ball is his life, until he crosses paths with Danielle on his way to therapy. There is immediate sexual tension that you can feel seeping out of the pages. Once he laid eyes on her, he was hooked and knew he wanted her. But, Lincoln has always been a player in more ways than one, and his bed was never cold. Seeing Danielle made him feel things he never thought he could, and that’s one thing I loved about him. He opened his heart, and besides seeing the funny and silly sides of him, you see he really has a heart of gold. He’s so tender at times, and I couldn’t help but adore him.

Getting closer to Danielle seems so easy for him because who wouldn’t want him? However, Danielle’s always had one rule to never date a ball player. So Lincoln has his work cut out for him in changing her mind. He definitely isn’t a quitter because he is definitely wooing her in this book. Just when things change for Lincoln and his life is heading back on track, his future comes face to face with Danielle’s past, and it could destroy everything they have worked so hard for.

I must say I was quite shocked because I had no idea what was behind her not wanting to date Lincoln, and I loved how Adriana made that different than most books. The characters are easy to love and really down to earth. I enjoyed seeing all of the Landry brothers because these guys believe in family and have such a close bond. As with Sway, this book is another hit (pun intended) for me. This book is a 4 star read and please bring me another Landry man!

There hasn't been a single book I've read by this author that I haven't absolutely LOVED! Each book Adriana writes takes the reader through a different experience each time. You take away something different from each of her books. She writes in such a way that you feel like you really know and are friends with the characters in her books. I was intrigued by Lincoln in Sway and loved him even more in Swing. He is such a sweet, caring, and loyal man. I really love his relationship with his family ...more

It's a super cold day here, so curling up with Lincoln Landry was just what the doctor ordered.
I have to confess that a "sports" book would normally not be an almost 5 star read for me, but this isn't your typically "sports" book. Yes, Lincoln is a baseball player. His profession plays a huge part in who he is and how he identifies himself, but a shoulder injury has him primed for reevaluating his life when he and Danielle cross paths.
I loved these two together from the first time the 4.5 stars

His profession plays a huge part in who he is and how he identifies himself, but a shoulder injury has him primed for reevaluating his life when he and Danielle cross paths.
I loved these two together from the first time they met! She's (with good reason) reluctant to spend time with a professional athlete, but she sees something in Lincoln that makes her go outside her comfort zone. He's had women throwing themselves at him forever, but something about "Dani" makes him want to work for her attention.
I appreciated that even though Dani and Lincoln's relationship moved quickly, Ms. Locke allowed them the time to slide into things and let them form an emotional and well as physical connection. One of my favorite lines in the book actually happens during the "conflict" stage where it looks like things may be going south romantically. The thing that has Lincoln so upset is that he not only is losing his girlfriend, he's losing his friend and the loss of the friend is what has him really torn up.
While this is a romantic, sexy, and fun book - it's also an emotional one. Danielle has issues with her parents (that I think may have been a little over the top - their appearance toward the end of the story may be my one real complaint. The conflict with Dani was bad enough, but their sudden appearance in person was never really explained. It served it's purpose, but felt like a little bit of a loose thread.) that she and Lincoln have to work through and he also has to work through potential changes in his career and how he identifies himself. We see a softer side of an incredibly alpha star athlete. We also have visits from the extended Landry family and learn a little bit more about them and how their relationships work. There are also some unexpected guest appearances that fans of Ms. Locke's work will get a kick out of.
Overall, this is a fantastic story. It's part of a series, but would easily stand on it's own. Lincoln and Danielle are at the center of the story and while his siblings make appearances, it's done in a natural way - the interactions are organic and not just a "set up" for future stories. ...more

Lincoln Landry is my new favorite book boyfriend. He is sweet, funny, and oh so swoony. I fell for him immediately! I loved his persistence when he decided to make the independent, sassy Danielle his.
Adriana grabs your from the start and keeps you enraptured until the very end where you will be left wishing it hadn't ended.

You know the best thing about reading Adriana's books? The fact that every time I pick one up and start reading I feel like it's my favorite. I can't choose just one. Swing was just added to my long list of Adriana's books that I love.
