What Members Thought

I love Vonnegut's books and writing style, but if you've never read anything by him, this is probably not the place to start. This book is very disconnected, which is usual for him, but this amps the non-linearity to a different level than a typical Vonnegut book. I understand his style, in many ways it reflects my own thought patterns, the random jumps between thoughts. It especially makes sense for this story of Billy Pilgrim.

I think there are a number of things that set this up for failure (for me). It took a while to get into..... a good while. I was so confused and honestly I blame it on the fact that I was hungry and I was listening to the audio book. If you're considering reading this on audio book please save yourself the trouble.
So after lunch, I picked up the book, finished and my feelings where night and day. I really enjoyed the second half of this book. Don't get me wrong this is one biz ...more

I'm really not into war stories. This story reminded me a lot of Catch 22 by the way it was fragmented. Although I seemed to be much more interested in this book.
