Wow. Way to put the « creative » in « creative writing ». The formal play, the cleverness, the complexity, the characterisation, and the humour in here blew me away. What an exceptional novel. Cannot list all the topics it tackles (expertly, radically) even if I wanted to, but it felt like a feast.

So, I've had this book for 3 months and never really got into it, though once I finally got halfway through the second half held my interest better.
I've heard and read all these good reviews of it, but I think this is maybe not the right time in my life to appreciate it. I didn't find it especially funny or quotable; I think I haven't been happy-go-lucky enough lately to appreciate the satire.
