What Members Thought
I didn't care for this book at all. The premise was very interesting. It's 1960's America and the country has been divided between Japan and Germany, who have won World War II. The story is basically a spotlight on the country. And it's slow and boring.
There are actually about six different stories going on and each one is vaguely connected. It takes place mostly in San Francisco which is under Japanese occupation. They rely a lot on the I Ching which dispenses weird wisdom that only makes sense ...more
