This was really good! I can see why it’s considered a classic. The plot is complex and realistic in sentiment. All these heroes seem flawed and entirely real. Each story flows nicely into the next one.
Multiple timelines and a layered complex story makes this confusing to simple-minded me. My mind would wander for a second and I would have to re-read it because I missed a lot. This is such a fascinating story. I'm speechless because I'm so blown away by the sheer genius of it. We read this for me postmodern literature class and I just can't believe what this graphic novel truly means. It talks about us in our daily lives and how we've become disillusioned as a society. We question our world. The heroes are also criminals. They're messed up, but they're trying to make the world better because they believe in change and not determinism.

Yep, this one's reputation is justified. It was great. Anyone who has gotten into graphic novels and 'comic book movies/tv shows' late like I have should go back and read this one. Definitely worth the read if you enjoyed the HBO show.
