What Members Thought
Not the collection of short stories that you devour in an afternoon. These take what is real and twist it, heighten it and distort it but underneath is a very real issue. Thought-provoking and visceral writing.
Dark stories about racism, capitalism, injustice, and poverty, most with a fantastical or sci-edge to them. I don’t usually enjoy short stories because I like to spend more time with the characters but I really enjoyed this collection. Stories are concise but you really get a feel for the characters. Any more time spent in these worlds would have been heartbreaking. Trigger warnings for everything. These were my favorites:
