Here is one of the rare instances where I saw the movie before reading the book, however I saw the movie years ago so I figured I was safe and wouldn’t remember anything.
I enjoyed the music facts, top 5 lists and the characters of Dick and Barry. I found all that to be very humorous. I think many readers will see themselves or friends in this book, it’s very relatable and relevant.

High Fidelity is hilarious. I haven’t laughed out loud at a book as much as this one in a long, long time. The ability of the main character to speak of the life of a middle-aged loser is terrific and his self-deprecation and low-life friends really make this a wonderful read. The women are real, the struggle is real, and the writing is fresh. I especially enjoyed the conversation with the readers throughout. Anytime the author breaks through the 4th wall is a time to celebrate.
