Second Read: June 2021: Wow, I loved this book the first time around. I am quite surprised really. I felt like it was only OK, this time.
The reason is probably that I talked this book up to my family and we were listening to it on a car ride home. For hours on end. My kids were confused to no end about what was going on in the book. This book is a lot like the movie version of Clue, but with more characters and a target audience of young adults. Even though the book is intended for younger readers, it doesn't always feel that way, as it occasionally touches on weightier subject matter. It's wonderfully written, with witty dialogue and a clever, engaging mystery. I liked how seemingly minor details ended up making a difference in the overall story.
