Honestly, I'm torn. I think part of my hang-up is that I have enjoyed both "The Handmaid's Tale" (when I read it nearly twenty years ago) and the TV show of recent years. It seems I'm struggling with the Expectation vs. Reality dilemma, and I was left a little unsatisfied. I don't want to give it less than three stars because I find the concept compelling, but I didn't enjoy this story as much as I thought I would.
