While my knowledge of 16th century history is extremely limited, I still found this book to be rather interesting and on point for how I imagine things work today to some extent. I don't think Machiavelli is necessarily advocating for these rules, but instead is acknowledging that the way politicians and rulers get to be in charge is sometimes very twisted. ...more
