I've been wanting to read this books for at least a decade and I finally just now got to it (A constant problem for the avid reader). I want to thank Claudia Swisher for introducing this book in her Reading For Pleasure class ten years ago. Otherwise, "Lamb" might have never made it to my to-read list.

LOVED this book! I've always loved the idea of Jesus being an actual REAL person with a sense of humor and this book provides that possibility. Plus, Biff lets us know what happened during those mysterious 30 years. Overall, interesting and hilarious.

I am so glad to finally be finished with this. This was my second reading and both were motivated by book club. Obviously, many people really enjoyed this book; however, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I guess it's hard to keep up the humorous tone when writing about the Crucifixion, but it just didn't work for me.

I have never been interested in fictional accounts of the childhood of Jesus, but this book is so funny and touching that I still haven't gotten out of my head. It also points out the similarities of Christianity with Eastern religions, which very plausibly my have influenced its early development. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something light and fun to read but would also like a story to provoke meaningful reflection. Especially perfect for the Easter season.

This is the funniest book I've ever read. It's also touching, sad, thought-provoking and well-researched. Christopher Moore's warped and hilarious imagination translates what life might have been like for a couple of kids growing up Jewish in Galilee under Roman rule - and, oh yeah, one of them is the Son of God! Answers the age-old question, "What if Jesus knew kung-fu?"
