What Members Thought

It's a good story. While well researched, it most certainly isn't what happened, but I get it. The conspiracy angle is too interesting not to take and run full force with. The art style is kind of ugly and rough, but so is the story. I was surprised by the amount of sex (not so much surprised by the violent murder, considering the subject matter), it's not a tale that pulls any punches.

I couldn't tell half the time who was talking since everyone in the darn novel was drawn the same. Except Queen Victoria.

Moore just doesn't miss. What I thought would be a grounded, realistic examination of the Jack the Ripper murders turned out to be an exploration of time, divinity, historical materialism, dialectics, etc. Perhaps I shouldn't have been (pleasantly) surprised; this is Alan Moore after all.
