An enjoyable romp. Since I don't often read books from this genre, I had no idea what to expect going in, and was not sure that I was going to like it after the first few chapters. However, as I gradually started to learn more about these wildly diverse characters, I grew to love them and the strong cohesive family unit that they form together. Update 8/2018:
My book club decided to discuss this and I think it says something that I would choose to reread it less than two months after my first read rather than just try to remember. I'm upgrading my rating to 5 stars. This is the best sort of comfort reading: interesting, funny, sweet, a little bit philosophical. I want to spend time with the characters. I hope the others like it as much as I do.
