Another old novel that has not aged well. It's curious how such a popular character of fiction persists today despite it's problematic origins. This book was creative and well put together but it is smeared with pro-colonialism and phrenology heavy racism. It champions the protagonist as some Olympic figure of white features and a solitary conqueror of both the wild and civilized world.
