I was looking through the books on my bookshelf when I discovered that I had not given a review for Speak before. Deciding to change that, I re read this novel, and I have come to the same conclusion that I did when I first read it: this novel is simply fantastic.

When it comes to YA books, I'm picky. I don't like characters that whine a lot without a real reason or seem to think they know it all. I also can't stand some of the tropes that go along with YA fiction.
