Note to Self: try to never say "she/he is just doing that for attention" in a sarcastic offhand way to a child/teenager (or anyone really). If someone is doing something unhealthy for attention, then something is likely wrong, and give them the attention they need, in a compassionate, kind, and empathetic way.

We listened to this audiobook in one road trip (it's only about 5 hours, it didn't even take the whole trip). It was rather gripping and kept us both entertained, although there were some very uncomfortable parts to listen to (mostly because I wanted to do something rather than just sitting there). Melinda's voice was both a little too simplistic and a little too complex for a 9th grader, which should be hard, but she seemed to have both too much and too little self awareness which was the main
