My favorite VE Schwab (so far!) and that's really saying something if you've read the Darker Shades trilogy. The characters in this are just everything. And the author manages to put in so many things -- a fractured storyline, philosophy, science, vengeance, superheroes, college life -- that shouldn't really go together, but they DO. I can't wait for VENGEFUL. I love Victor and hope all ends well for him!

I forgot how much I loved this book. The writing. The complex characters. The relationships (both between Sydney, Mitch, Dol and Victor and Victor and Eli). There are some parts that are truly grusome and were a lot to read, but it was still good. I think I liked the ending more the second time around. Now time to read Vengeful!
