I like a lot of little ideas in this book, and like most Stephen King I have read it is well written and easy to consume, but it just felt like it wanted to go in so many directions at once.

The setup is interesting, but the mid section of the book is a bit meandering and drags. I think I understand what King was going for here, though ultimately for me the ending didn't land enough to justify all of it. It was a nice little idea that just missed the mark for me.

Karen recommended this to me ages ago and I put it off because I was intimidated by the size of the book and by Stephen King in general (I’m easily scared). I was terribly wrong here, despite the length I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end and it wasn’t scary at all. This book has a little bit of everything; well-researched history, mysterious time-travel, touching romance and I liked the combination of genres.

Could not put it down. This is my first and only King book but I loved it. I think it helped a lot that I knew absolutely nothing about it other than it had something to do with the Kennedy assassination.

I read this book based on Modern Mrs. Darcy's recommendation. I enjoy her podcasts a lot. It's an easy enough read, for being so long. I have a feeling its a nostalgia read for those who lived through Kennedy's assassination. I enjoyed the whole "Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" theme for a while, but wanted a bit more on the actual time travel itself.
