I've seen the movie so many times that I thought it would be a good idea to read the story it's based upon. I enjoyed the novella, too. It's the same basic story, with some minor differences (therefore, the film is a faithful adaptation). The book is a bit more coarse in language and subject matter than the movie was allowed to be, when it was made in the 1960s. The ending is a bit different, though still nicely bittersweet. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the Audrey Hepburn film.

While Breakfast at Tiffany's is good (Capote is a brilliant writer), this may be one of those rare stories where I prefer the movie. It was so strange to hear Holly swear.
