4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this book. That being said, it isn’t a book you can just recommend to people. There is both physical and sexual violence inflicted upon multiple people in this book. Also, none of the characters in this book are what you would think of as the “good guy” or hero. Unlike how some people might interpret the basic premise outlined in the summary, the villain in this book is not a child molester. He is in fact what the name of the novel implies. N0S4A2 has me divided. I loved the premise of the book and at times the storytelling was gripping. However, every so often there would be a weird gender/sexist trope or a cruel fat-shaming description that would take me out of the story.
