What Members Thought
Hill has certainly inherited natural storytelling ability and innate creativity from his father, yet finds a way to put his own personal stamp on the horror genre. This book has a tantalizing hook which gives a wicked spin to Christmas and works like gangbusters. Tough as nails Vic McQueen makes a compelling, well-rounded protagonist; I enjoyed following her journey as well as how it intersected often with creepy villain Charlie Manx, and the strong secondary characters further enhance the story

DNF’d at 375. This started to drag so much, getting to one point in the action telling it from one character’s POV, then rewinding the action only to change to another character’s POV. That made it drag so much that I went for two weeks barely touching the book. It’s not you, Joe Hill. It’s me.
