What Members Thought
This has been described as the "African Harry Potter," which I kind of scoffed at. But after having read the book, I think it actually really is a good description. The author creates great characters and a fascinating world. I know a book is good when I finish it and still have lots of questions and ideas that I want to go research and read more about.

3.5 I really enjoyed the lore and world building, not enough to hope for a 2nd book. The characters lacked depth and the confrontation of evil was lackluster.
